Østerland provides a sustainable business model that promotes social and economic inclusion for local and refugee artisans in the Middle East and Afghanistan.
This business accelerator is a collaboration with MADE51 and the UNHCR, supporting refugee craftsmanship globally.

Building and Expanding Sales Channels
The Market Access Program, sponsored by Nest, is designed to provide businesses with specialized resources focused on building and expanding sales channels, with an emphasis on retail partnerships.
In the past few weeks, I gladly served as a mentor to Studio Variously and guide them towards market access activations, particularly, their first participation as exhibitor at the International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF) in NYC.
From understanding the interior design market to creating a booth design and merchandising, to developing linesheets and honing their sales pitch, this program has empowered Studio Variously to effectively penetrate new markets.

We recently hosted a successful trunk show for my client at the MaxMara flagship showroom on Madison Avenue, New York.
I assisted my client throughout the entire process, from the initial agreement with the showroom manager to ensuring social media coverage.
I also guided the creation of displays and merchandising to create eye-catching focal points and trained my client’s team on engaging effectively with MaxMara’s customers.
This collaboration significantly boosted my client’s visibility and helped build valuable relationships in the fashion community.
Native Craft Artist Readiness Program
Fostering Growth and Sustainability of Indigenous Craft Artistry
I am delighted to announce a new collaboration with The Association of Tribal Archives, Libraries, and Museums in Washington DC. As part of this partnership, I will be conducting a business online course tailored specifically for the artisans participating in the Native Craft Artist Readiness Program (NCARP).
The NCARP program is dedicated to empowering and supporting 20 Native Craft Artisans. Through this collaborative effort, we aim to further enrich their entrepreneurial acumen, enabling them to thrive within their craft.

I'm pleased to share my involvement as a mentor in the MAKERS UNITED business program. With a specific focus on elevating BIPOC makers and implementing innovative market access solutions, Makers United is committed to ensuring that the American makers movement thrives, irrespective of gender, race, economic means, or ability.
Over the past six weeks, I led the business accelerator program aimed at assisting Haicceity, a fashion lifestyle brand, in optimizing production processes and enhancing efficiency in material sourcing.
Noteworthy is Haicceity's commitment to ethical production—every garment is proudly made in St. Louis, Missouri. Furthermore, all fabrics and home decor undergo the entire production process within the USA.
